Supreme Success

October 10th was an exceptional day for P.P.E.C horses and riders! Five horses qualified and competed at the Hanson Riding Club’s Supreme Invitational. To be invited riders must win a blue ribbon in any HRC Class during the clubs regular show season. Kegan, Boomer, Sassy, Edwina, and Forrest all put there best “hoof” forward and brought home the blues! Congratulations to all the riders, Taylor, Lily, Kendall, Gabrielle, Whitney, Kate B., Kate M., Kelcie, and Jen! Supreme Titles were won By Sassy, “What A Cowgirl”, in the Walk trot 10-12 and walk trot 13-17 divisions. Forrest, “Meadowoods Jubilee” took home the walk trot 9& under title, Kegan won the Pony Division and Edwina, “Meet Virginia” won the Sr Hunter Title. It was a great experience for all and loads of ribbons for the Peak Performance Team!

Lions, and Tigers, and Bears! Oh My!

Our Peak Performance Equestrian Center riders were following the “Yellow Brick Road” In our 2009 Costume Class Entry- The Wizard of Oz! The team came home with ribbons placing 4th at the Mini Shows and 2nd at Hanson Riding Club! Kegan, Knuckles, and Sally have been enjoying there weekly show outings.

As we enter into Triple Crown Season the Peak Performance Equestrian Riders are ready at the in gate! The first show of the season at South Shore Horseman’s Council was a windy wonderland! Blues were all around after a wonderful performance by Whitney Joy and Boomer in the walk trot division. Kelcie Lovering and Knuckles had a great show riding with all the big horses! Kate Brady and her new horse Meadowoods Jubilee had a great first outing after only owning him for 1 week! She brought home the championship ribbon at the end of the day in her walk trot 10& under division. Alex won her showmanship class and halter class with Kate’s horse as well! Meet Virginia had a great show with Jen winning ribbons in all classes and blues in her pleasure classes! Congrats!

Our next outing at Hanson Riding Club’s first show of the season was a great day! All the riders did a spectacular job keeping focused in the bad weather! We are so proud of all our riders for displaying great sportsmanship and horsemanship.

This spring brings many exciting events here at Peak Performance! May 2nd we will be hosting a clinic with Grand Prix Rider Helen Cast. Limited spaces available call for remaining times. May 10th is our first horse show of 2009! It will be a South Shore Horsemens Council show held in Raynham Ma. Reminder to all Hanson Riding Club competators that the first show is May 17th so practice your Showmanship! Remember you add the “SNAP”!
